Instructions for use: place wick trimmer inside candle (flush with surface of wax), open the handle and place open scissor arms around the wick, then bring handles together to cut wick. Wick debris will fall onto catcher. Toss wick trimmings into trash. Always trim the wick to 1/4-inch before lighting any candle.
